Search The Three — OMG WTF?!?! :P
February 14th, 2007
…so, here i am two days later after i felt like making some uber-combined search thing… lol… its uber-alpha/beta/omega/malaka/whatever, so don’t complain if it doesn’t work… lol
End result, its cool, but i’m far from happy with it, somewhat sloppy code, and the worst browser compatibility of any project i’ve ever done, Safari and Firefox should be alright, IE is outta question with all the png’s and shit i’m using in the design… lol
anyway, botton line, it works, thats the only reason its online, cause i’m a perfectionist at heart, and i’m not happy with it right now… but i don’t have anymore time to throw away on it right now… lol… not to mention, that it became kinda bloated and sluggish cause my design inspiration took a turn for the weird… lol
but but… check it out for yourself and see what you think…

Looks really nice!
How come Windows Live messenger returns no results when you search for “Adium” but when you click on the Windows Live text it comes up with results. Does it filter out duplicates or something?
Overall its still good though

oops… lol… well, the process of extracting the results is buggy :P… since i quickly just wrote classes to parse the html output from google and windows live search simply cause they’ve got overcomplicated api’s, and i my aim wasn’t to spend days messing with api, but rather just get it working to some degree… lol
but like i said, don’t be surprised if it doesn’t work properly… i haven’t done any extensive testing or anything, i got it work just, and nothing more… lol
as for the adium results, the windows live search page shows a few subitems, which i’m guessing screw up the regular expression i’m using to extract the results… lol
